General Information

Description

This subject introduces students to the human resources development (HRD) concept and its importance. It enables the students to understand the difference between HRD and HRM as HRD: is the framework for helping employees develop their personal and organizational skills, knowledge, and abilities.

HRD subject includes employee training, employee career development, performance management and development, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, key employee identification and organization development, talent management and more.

Expectations and Goals

Enable students to differentiate between HRD and HRM concepts.

-Introduce the main functions of HRD that include; employee training, career development, performance management and development, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, key employee identification, talent management and organization development.

-Provide students with required HRD functions forms and real life examples on HRD main functions focusing on employee training, career development, performance management and succession planning.
