Clinical case no. 8

Endodontic complication treatment case – Perforation management – supervised by Prof. Dr. Talaat Abo Hatab at Faculty of Dentistry – Syrian Private University.

A 27-year-old female patient consulted the Faculty of Dentistry at the Syrian Private University complaining of intermittent painful attacks and swelling at the gingival tissues in one of the pre-treated teeth.

Clinical and radiological examination showed the presence of perforation in the furcation area on the lateral surface of tooth No. 14 (FDI).

The treatment plan consisted of repairing the perforation area with MTA material and completing the endodontic treatment under the rubber dam isolation. All treatment procedures were carried out under micro-magnification using a dental microscope.
