General Information

Description

Fluid mechanics is one of the basic sciences which, since the beginning of the nineteenth century, have broken away from basic general sciences such as physics and chemistry to study the laws of balance and fluid movement. The methods of using these laws are used to solve various technical problems. As a theoretical basis for another set of special topics, the mechanics of fluid mechanics have been widely applied in hydraulic engineering, especially in the design of hydraulic machines (pumps, turbines, compressors, etc.), in the transport and storage of liquids and gases, Navigation and so on..

Expectations and Goals

This course is an adequate explanation and a working guide for the petroleum engineering sector. It aims to:

1-    The definition of the most important physical values and the totality of units universally adopted.

2-    Give a preliminary idea of the most important physical and mechanical values of fluids and how to determine them mathematically and experimentally.

3-    Study the movement and movement of fluids.

4-    Study the amount of loss of energy when the flow inside the tubes.

5-    Because most of the fluids the Petroleum Engineer deals with are non-Newtonian liquids (e.g., heavy oil, drilling liquids and cement fluids), a behavioral study of these fluids and their movement through pipes has received a great deal of attention.
